He's a leader and a teacher, able to see beyond the horizon to identify the leading edge. He deeply values empathy, leveraging it to understand the heart of complex issues, facilitate alignment, and build shared understanding across entire organizations. His expertise spans strategic planning, organizational transformation, risk management, operational excellence, facility management, inclusive program and space design, and comprehensive community engagement - creating a powerful mix of skills to support his clients.
With a broad knowledge base ranging from leadership to student development, facility design and management to budgets and proformas, NCAA sports and residence life to team building and communications, Alex draws from real lessons learned, basing his advice from true stories of real people.
As a leader, he has sat on national boards in charge of strategy and finance and served as a faculty member for the development of future leaders. He is a known advocate for inclusivity, including being the President of Adaptive Sports Northwest. He has presented over 50 times on topics ranging from change management to hiring, from sustainability to budgeting, to developing a global viewpoint and inspiring healthy communities. His teams have been nationally recognized for their innovative programming, inspiring marketing, exceptional events, and welcoming customer service. He's mentored many new professionals to have a passion for their work and to be change agents themselves.
